Banana Punch

Makes enough for a crowd!

 

6 medium ripe bananas

12 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

3 c. warm water, divided

2 c. sugar, divided

46-oz. can pineapple juice

3 2-liter bottles lemon-lime soda

Orange slices, optional

 

In a blender, process bananas and juice concentrates until smooth. Remove half of the mixture and set aside. Add 1 1/2 c. water and 1 c. sugar to blender and blend until smooth. Place in a large freezer-safe container. Repeat with remaining banana mixture, water, and sugar. Cover and freeze until solid.

 

One hour before serving, remove punch base from freezer. Place in a large punch bowl. Just before serving, add pineapple juice and soda. Stir until well blended. Garnish with orange slices, if desired.
