Apple Crisp 4 c. sliced tart apples (about 4 medium) 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. oats 1/3 c. butter, softened 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg Heat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange apples in a greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl and spread over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream, if desired. 6 servings Variations Cherry Crisp: Substitute 1 can cherry pie filling for apples and decrease sugar to 2/3 cup. Peach Crisp: Substitute 1 can sliced peaches, drained, for the apples and decrease sugar to 2/3 cup. Pineapple Crisp: Substitute 2 cans pineapple chunks, drained, for the apples and decrease sugar to 2/3 cup.
