Classic Waffles 2 eggs 2 c. all-purpose or whole wheat flour 1/2 c. vegetable oil, margarine, or butter (1 stick), melted 1 3/4 c. milk 1 tbs. granulated or brown sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs with hand beater in medium bowl until fluffy. Beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth. Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Remove waffle carefully. 12 4-inch waffles or 3 9-inch waffles
